The Great Escape: Heath Flora Cuts and Runs from a Community Meeting [Not Parody]
During the Galt Chamber Community Coffee this morning, Assemblymember Heath Flora decided he’d had enough of "community" the moment the questions turned to his own backyard—or lack thereof.
It’s funny how Heath is suddenly finding his way back to the district now that he’s staring down a serious primary challenge. But after today’s disaster, don’t hold your breath for another appearance; based on how poorly this went for him, this will likely be the last time he ever risks an open Q&A with the public.
After being grilled by constituents on the tough stuff, Flora abruptly ended the meeting 18 minutes early. What sent him packing? Questions he clearly didn’t want to answer: Where does he actually lay his head at night? Why is he collecting taxpayer-funded per diem for "traveling" when it appears he’s living right here in Sacramento? Hard questions regarding his efforts to dodge the very taxes the rest of us have to pay.
